Agenda:LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION 321 Stonehenge Drive Phillipsburg, NJ 08865 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING: The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at 7:30pm at Lopatcong Township Middle School located at 321 Stonehenge Drive. The meeting will be held in the Conference Room located in the Main Office. To gain admittance, please use the entrance at Stonehenge Drive. The meeting will be open to the public at 7:30pm. AGENDA
This is a special meeting to approve a contract with New Jersey School Boards Association for their Superintendent Search services. No public input will be allowed.

Minutes:MINUTES OF THE LOPATCONG TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION Vice-President Gallant called the meeting to order at 7:32pm. Mrs. Barna read the following opening statement, “I would like to announce and have placed in the minutes that adequate notice of this special meeting of the Lopatcong Township Board of Education has been provided in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act by publication in the Express-Times. A copy of this notice has also been filed with the Township Clerk and posted at both school locations.” The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present. ROLL CALL Present: Ernie Gallant, Greg McGann, Terry Glennon, Joe Kennedy, Tim McGuinness, Jesse Rozycki, Raisy Stammherr, and Bill Taggart. Absent: Frank Kish Others Present: Teresa E. Barna, Business Administrator/Board A short discussion took place regarding the terms and condition of the proposed contract agreement presented to the Board by New Jersey School Boards Association to conduct a Superintendent Search. There was a consensus of the Board to approve a contract with New Jersey School Boards Association.
Motion by McGuinness, second by Taggart, that be it RESOLVED, that the Board of Education authorize the Board President and the Business Administrator to enter into an agreement with New Jersey School Boards Association for the purpose of conducting a Superintendent Search as per the terms and conditions stated in the agreement for an amount not to exceed $5,000. Roll call vote: 8 – Yes. Motion carried. A brief discussion took place regarding the wording of the Personnel Ad for publication in the Star Ledger on December 5, 2004 and December 19, 2004. The Board came to an agreement on the wording. Hearing no further business, the Board adjourned at 8:10pm on a motion by McGann, second by McGuiness. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
